March 21, 2025: Friday Medley

Happy Friday!

Well, a one-day earlier-than-Friday. Today (Thursday, March 20, 2025) is the Persian New Year (Nowruz), and the first day of Spring. And I wanted to wish everyone a special day. So, Happy first day of Spring, and…

Happy Persian New Year! Nowruz Mobarak!

Q&A: Communication with the Studio / School Office

Q. What is the best way to communicate with the office?

A. The best way to communicate with the office is to send an email to office@dennisfrayne.com. Using this method will generally provide you prompt response, and allow us to more effectively communicate back and forth, and to provide requested resources, links, attachments, and detailed information.

Q, Can we send an email to you (Dr. Dennis) personally?

A. Yes, you can send an email to me personally, to dfrayne@dennisfrayne.com. However, please note that I receive an automated copy of every email sent to office@dennisfrayne.com. So, I receive your email even when you send it to office. The difference is that two people receive the office email (Jessika, also). And, often I have to forward emails sent to me to office / Jessika anyway, so that adds an extra step. So, sending your email to office generally improves response time.

Q. Can we call or text?

A. Yes, you can call or text. I know that many people today prefer calls and texts. However, with us, emails are faster. They are far easier for us to organize, keep track of, and manage. Much like a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Texts, on the other hand, are more fleeting, with many limitations, including the virtual impossibility to organize and manage.

If you wish to call or text, here are some things you can do:

  1. For non-urgent things, call the office phone at 949-844-9051. Leave a voice message if we do not pick up the call. You can also text. We will reply, and will also often copy/paste the text into an email and reply and/or send it to office, and then reply as an email from there as well. So, an email chain will get started anyway, but it will require extra steps and slow things down.

  2. For more urgent things, or if you have not received a prompt response from the office, text my personal cell phone at 949-468-8040. Please do not call this number, it is better to text. If you call, remember that it will be considered non-urgent, and you can leave a voice message. I will do my best to respond to voicemails within 24 hours. Remember that whether it is urgent or non-urgent, an email will be more productive --almost always better than calls or texts.

Q. How do I request a make-up music lesson?

A. The best way to request a make-up music lesson is to use this link and complete the form online:
